| 英文描述 | Tularemia, infection with FRANCISELLA TULARENSIS, a nonmotile, nonspore-forming, aerobic, gram-negative bacillus, is rare in pets, and most reported cases are associated with rodent epidemics causing exposure of predators. Cats appear to be more susceptible than dogs; tularemia appears to be self-limiting in dogs. This is a zoonosis; humans can (rarely) be affected from animals. Dx by immunofluorescent testing of aspirated or biopsied material, especially bone marrow or lymph nodes; culture is difficult. |
